Description: Cedar Hill plans Eco-Pilgrimage to the Yucatan Peninsula, February 21 – 28, 2009 Concern is fast arising for conserving natural resources. There is much to learn from other cultures in our quest to protect and preserve the blessings we experience in our own country. Many countries have done exemplary jobs preserving not only resources and the environment but also history and culture. The Eco-Pilgrimage is designed to help participants appreciate ecological, and historical conservation efforts in the Yucatan Peninsula. While in Mexico, participants will be exposed to communities, learning from the people and culture. There will be both scheduled tours and free time to explore on their own. While on the Pilgrimage, participants will visit Merida, Celestune Biocultural Reserve, Kaxil Kiuic, Oxkintauk Cave, Campeche, and more! Spiritual and ecological/cultural locations will be toured. Price for the 9 days/8 nights is $2500.00. This is a special event designed to broaden cultural understanding and tolerance as well as expand working knowledge of sustainable living and ecological practices. This is the first trip of this kind for Cedar Hill, but the desire to make this a yearly activity, (visiting different locations each year), is held.
