| Description: | To kick off October, which is Crime Prevention Month, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has partnered with Home Depot to host the First Annual Celebrating Safe Communities Community Safety Fair on Saturday, October 4th, from 9:00 am until 12 noon. Join us as the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Home Depot partner to celebrate Forsyth County’s safe communities! Come build your own firetruck whistle, learn about the various programs offered to residents, meet deputies, firefighters, and K9s, and get a close look at firetrucks, patrol cars, ambulances, and more—even a helicopter! At 9:00 am, children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in Home Depot's Kids' Workshop and build a "firetruck whistle." Following the workshop, vehicles and equipment from the Sheriff's Office, Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, Georgia State Patrol, and the U.S. Army will be on display in Home Depot's parking lot. We hope you'll come out to celebrate the safe community we live in while meeting the people who work to keep us safe! |
